Oak partner SITU is an architecture firm that combines design, research, and technology for social impact. It is using its expertise to reconstruct the violent clashes that took place between late 2013 and 2014 in Ukraine. On 20 February 2014, there 48 protestors and four police officers died in Kiev. Many questions surrounding the events were left unanswered.

Using video and ballistics analysis, SITU hopes to find out what really happened on that day. Lawyers representing the victims will use a collection of amateur and news footage from the incident as evidence to bring the perpetrators to justice. Hundreds of hours of footage are now the foundation for a reconstruction project.
