Fancy a bagel? Oak partner wins global business competition

Bagel Bejgl, a bagel store run by ATINA, a Serbian women’s rights organisation based in Belgrade, has won a global business competition for women’s entrepreneurship related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Bagel Bejgl (or Bagel Bagel) gives survivors of human trafficking a safe place to work and an independent income.

The Women’s Entrepreneurship (WE) Empower UN SDG Challenge is a global business competition for women entrepreneurs whose work inspires entire communities to create a better world. The WE Empower Challenges Awardees are currently convening in NewYork City during the week of the UN General Assembly (September 24 – 29). Read more about the prize here.
