More than 8 million tonnes of plastic are dumped into our oceans every year. A Plastic Ocean is a new adventure documentary that brings to light the consequences of our global disposable lifestyle.

   
In "A Plastic Ocean", an international team of adventurers and researchers embarked on an expedition that delves into seemingly pristine and remote waters. During its four-year production period, filming took place in 20 locations around the world to document the global effects of plastic pollution – and introduce workable technology and policy solutions that can, if implemented in time, change things for the better.

   
The film will be released in 2016, and its results will astound viewers – just as it did these adventurers, who captured never-before-seen images of marine life, plastic pollution and its ultimate consequences for human health.
