Blain joined Oak Foundation in 2007 as Programme Associate for the Child Abuse Programme (CAP). Promoted to Programme Officer in 2012, she now manages and monitors the grant portfolio in East Africa, as well as a number of regional and international grants. She also represents CAP on the Joint India Programme. Her role includes identifying new areas of grant-making in line with the programme’s strategic plan to address child sexual abuse and exploitation. She also provides technical support to partner organisations in programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Prior to joining Oak Foundation, Blain worked for a number of international NGO’s - liaising, assisting and facilitating activities and projects on migration, refugees and the trafficking of people. She holds a Master’s degree in Regional and Local Development Studies.
