Vinit Rishi was appointed Director of Administration of Oak Foundation in 2006. Vinit is based in the administrative head-quarters in Geneva, Switzerland and is responsible for all of the foundations operations functions as well as administrative oversight for offices in Bulgaria, India, Tanzania, the UK, and the US. Vinit leads the teams responsible for Finance, Grants Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Organisational Development & Capacity Building. He also oversees real estate and facilities.
Vinit has over two decades of experience in various management positions with international responsibilities in the corporate sector where he built and managed teams, led complex global projects and developed systems and processes. Prior to joining the foundation, he was the CFO at Logispring, a venture capital firm investing in supply chain technologies. Prior to that, he led the Tax & Treasury function, EMEA and Asia/Pacific for Iomega Corporation, a NYSE listed manufacturer of smart, portable computer storage products.
Vinit began his career with Arthur Andersen, at the time one of the big five accounting firms, where he moved up the ranks being named Partner in-charge of Finance and Administration for the Geneva HQ while holding global responsibility for statutory and inter-firm transactions.
Vinit studied at the Doon School in India, then moving to Geneva where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Computer Studies and a Master’s degree in Finance at Webster University. Vinit is fluent in English, French and Hindi.
Vinit serves on the Governing Council of the European Foundation Centre, as a member of the Board of Partners for a New Economy, and on the Steering Committee of the Operations Professionals Network.
