Diane Buczynski-Ruchonnet joined Oak Foundation in September 2011 as Programme Associate. Her work will include coordinating the Medical Advisory Board and Special Interest grants. Diane completed her PhD degree in Biology (with a concentration in marine conservation) in 2007 at the Environmental Research Institute, University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
From 2007 to 2011 she was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Integrative Genomics at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Her work included investigating proteins involved in the regulation of gene expression as it relates to cancer development.
Diane is French and Swiss, has lived most of her life in Switzerland and has a husband and a son.
