Batsirai Group
To improve the quality of life of orphans and vulnerable children in Kadoma, Zvimba and Makonde districts through building, supporting and strengthening individuals, families and community initiatives to actively participate in resource mobilisation, and provision of accessible, sustainable and comprehensive child care and protection. The project’s ultimate goal is for 840 orphaned and vulnerable children in the three districts to have access to education in the next three years. (Over three years)

The Bethany Project
To improve the overall well-being of orphans in Zvishavane through the provision of comprehensive basic services for those children and by empowering communities to care and support orphans and vulnerable children; and to work for the prevention of HIV and AIDS.

Family AIDS Caring Trust, (FACT) Nyanga
To assist communities in Nyanga provide home care to the terminally ill and to vulnerable children and needy orphans infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The project seeks to empower the community so that it can identify and analyse its own problems and plan how best to deal with them with only limited outside help. FACT Nyanga also seeks to strengthen households to enable them to cope with the effects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. (Over two years)

Family AIDS Caring Trust, (FACT) Mutare
To continue to support salaries of staff at the Simukai Street Youth Programme which focuses on improving physical and psychological well-being and access to education, training, reunification and reintegration of children outside the family. (Over three years)

The Salvation Army – Masiye Camp
To support two life-skills camps for 100 orphans affected by HIV/AIDS and to provide training in psychosocial support to 40 volunteers.

Student Partnership Worldwide
To empower youth and families to cope with the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of those living with HIV and AIDS. The programme aims to address the marginalisation and exclusion of youth in home-based care programmes and complements peer education by providing a platform for youth to have first-hand information on the effects of HIV and AIDS. This is a new approach taken by the organisation to home-based care and is aimed in particular at young males.
