AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) and Amnesty International USA
To document through the use of satellite imagery, secret detentions, mass violence or forced displacement; incorporate those same images in strategic advocacy to stop gross abuses; and promote the development and deployment of geospatial technologies as a tool for human rights advocacy. This is a joint project between the two organisations. (Over three years)

Center for Justice and Accountability
To hold perpetrators of serious human rights abuses to account through civil suits in US courts; and/or criminal prosecutions through the exercise of universal jurisdiction in Spain with a view to deterring future abuse, providing redress to victims and developing the international legal framework against impunity. (Over two years)

Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ)
To increase the impact of the International Program Network comprising consultants and stringers located in press freedom hotspots who support press freedom advocacy. Based in New York, CPJ does this by investigating attacks on journalists, organising emergency missions, providing direct assistance to journalists in need, and providing other related emergency response efforts to support the freedom of the press around the world. Institute for War and Peace Reporting
To establish a Centre for crisis reporting in central London. The Centre will constitute a premier venue for leading human rights organisations to promote international media attention to the human rights dimension of conflict. Facilities will enhance advocacy partnerships through training and briefings, and promote collaborative media productions including through web- and pod-casts, radio broadcasts and joint events.

Witness Inc.
To bring human rights issues to a global audience through the use of new media by: training frontline defenders in the tools of video advocacy; supporting a core of partners worldwide to conduct human rights advocacy; developing a network of influential allies to ensure widespread distribution and advocacy around Witness videos; and launching The Hub – a global platform for human rights media and activism to connect groups, discussions and campaigns to stop abuse.
