Anti-Slavery International
To minimise the risks of abusive or exploitative situations for child domestic workers and to improve work conditions. Anti-Slavery International will support six NGO partners in Central and South America, South and South-East Asia, East and West Africa to run small-grants schemes, research the psychosocial impact of domestic work and advocate for improved employment practices and regulatory protection. (Over four years)

Columbia University
To improve the care and protection of children affected by war and natural disasters. This will be accomplished through three sub-goals: improved assessment, design and evaluation methodologies; development of an evidence base for effective child care and protection programming; and mainstreaming of evidence-based findings into practice and policy agendas. (Over three years)

Defence for Children International
To promote the inclusion of juvenile justice as a priority item on political agendas at an international, regional and national level and to strengthen national juvenile justice systems. (Over three years)

ECPAT International
To contribute to the fight against commercial sexual exploitation including internet sex abuse of children in West Africa, Russia and the Confederation of Independent States. To support ECPAT in developing more joint initiatives and research data, and to provide training and advocacy opportunities and programmes for children at risk and child victims. (Over three years)

EngenderHealth
To establish a global network of organizations dedicated to addressing gender inequality and violence prevention with men and boys. One of the objectives of MenEngage is to explore ways in which men and boys can be engaged in reducing sexual violence against children in concrete and effective ways.

International Council of Voluntary Agencies
To address the capacity of NGOs to effectively receive and investigate allegations of abuse and exploitation in humanitarian settings. (Over two years)

Save the Children Federation Inc
To improve the reintegration of child mothers and other vulnerable girls in Northern Uganda through the use of Positive Deviance (PD).The project will further learn from the results of the PD approach in child protection, as applied by the NGO in four developmental and emergency settings. (Over two years)

Save the Children Fund UK
• To assist the Keeping Children Safe Coalition in piloting the Keeping Children Safe toolkit in West Africa and to provide technical assistance to NGOs and other groups caring for children in that region. This first step will see the Coalition train NGOs to start implementing measures to prevent and deal with allegations of abuse, as well as integrate and develop networks in the region that address sexual abuse and exploitation. (Over two years)
• To create the pre-conditions required for the development of sustainable child protection systems in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast. Activities will focus on improving co-ordination, linking policy developments with actual practices on the ground, supporting meaningful levels of child participation, and the development of clear strategic plans so that short-term outcomes are completed not as isolated activities but as part of a longer term process.

To fund the layout, translation and distribution of three documents for children aged 7-12 and 14-18 resulting from the UN Study on Violence against Children.

To develop participatory action-research projects for the reintegration of girl mothers and their children from armed forces in Northern Uganda, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

To improve the social, educational and health status of adolescent girls from tribal and other communities in Northern India and to help adolescent girls transition into primary school or viable local livelihoods to increase their life options and decrease their level of risk to being trafficked.
